Ocarina of Time

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a game I like arguably too much. It was published in 1998, by time of when I was 8 years old. It was one of my first video game experiences, and it was one of the most poetic, most epic experiences I've had in the worlds of gaming. It was then when I felt my initial attraction to my childhood hero, who wandered through wide wide world for what he believed was good and right.

Admittedly, the story is a bit cliche story of a battle against evil. But the side characters are heartwarming and the story of "good against evil" never gets old. Since I'm a musician, the play of ocarina was a really nice addition to the actual game play. I can still remember all those songs by heart!

Also, the reason I wanted to write about OoT, is that it's a game both I and Marquise played in childhood, and a game we both like very greatly. It was one of the first topics of discussion we had before we started going out, and it certainly made the game all more dearer to me.

On a random note, I guess I could share you a short version of how we actually met. I have a friend, Teragon, and he wanted to introduce me to some friend of his at a local fantasy/geek game shop. However, when he took me there, I set my eyes upon someone else - that person being Marquise. I guess I never really suspected us to end up together, but I hoped it very greatly.

All in all, he's a great person, and I admire him very much. (And not just because he's better at video games than I am and helps me when I get stuck.) He supports me very much pretty much in every area of my life (school, work, fame and fortune) and is awesome at learning how to brew new tea qualities. (He also has a knack for picking out good wine.)

That being said, right after I wrote the above, he appeared behind my back.
"Shouldn't you be going?" Oh.Was supposed to meet a friend at 3ish. (Clock was 10 past.)
"Nah, I think I'll let her know I'm not coming."
"Oh, sure." Leans over to kiss me. I smell his breath.
"You smell of wine." Particularly, the red wine we bought when he took me out to see This Means War to celebrate the White Day (for those who don't know the meaning of the date, it's a Japanese custom. Girls buy chocolate for the guys they want to woo, and a month later, 14.3, the guys give them chocolate and small gifts in return).
"I took a zzzip."
"Could you bring me some?" Just because the wine was awesome, and since last night I was so tired that it just made me feel crap.

Anyways, the butler brings me some, and then stays behind. After a while of radio silence (and talking about the blogs I was following), he slides hands under my arms and lifts me from the chair. Kyaaa!- scream ensues.

"What did you do that for?" Still not letting me go.
"No reason."
"You want attention or what?"

And then he made the most adorable kitty face ever. D'aww. Looks like I need to go now and give him the back scrub he deserves, and see whether he's playing Crisis Core or Breath of Fire.

Also will need to start planning a cosplay for the next summer.
